Ambridge’s Appeal Risk Insurance product is designed to respond to the financial exposures surrounding the appeal of a judicial verdict based upon issues such as evidentiary and procedural questions or rulings, judicial error by trial court judge or jury, and jury instruction disputes, among others. Coverage is designed to be placed following the filing of an appeal of a trial court verdict and can be tailored to respond to an overturn of the verdict based on one appellate issue, or several such issues. The product is available to either the appellant or appellee and is available for verdicts relating to most types of underlying litigation except toxic tort and personal injury cases.
