Boys Hope Girls Hope
BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE was founded in the United States in 1977 by Paul Sheridan S.J. Through his community work he had met many young people drifting out of home and school with little support. Appealing for funds to the local community in St. Louis, he opened a home for young people as an alternative to the cycle of crime and homelessness. The project provided these young people with opportunities to complete their education and move on to further training and employment. With the model successfully proven, the project has developed over the years, with thirty-one homes located in seventeen U.S. cities spread over fourteen states, four homes in Brazil, two in Guatemala, and two in Ireland.
BOYS HOPE GIRLS HOPE is committed to supporting young people and families experiencing difficulties by providing high-quality residential and community-based services, offering them an opportunity to reach their potential and become active members of their communities.
