Richard's professional experience includes service at Johnson & Higgins, Inc. where he retired as Executive Vice President with responsibility for all national practices, wholesale operations, reinsurance, global captive and risk management facilities, and Chairman of J&H/KVI. During his career at Johnson & Higgins, Inc. he also served as Deputy Manager of the New York office and as Chairman of Johnson & Higgins, Ltd. where he was responsible for developing and expanding the firm's new operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He has served as the Chairman of Latin American Re and currently also serves as Chairman of Global Excess Partners LLC. He received a B.A. and an Honorary Doctorate from St. John's University and an M.B.A. from The College of Insurance.
